A cracked flashing seam or a wind-lifted ridge cap won't wait for business hours, and neither do we — Roof Repair Smedway sends licensed Commercial Roofing technicians across Elba, NY on the same day whenever it's humanly possible.
Roof Repair Smedway didn't start as a franchise looking for a market to plant a sign in. Our crews trained on real tear-offs, real ridge vents, and real attic inspections in Elba, NY before we ever put a truck on the road under this name.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
A patched flashing that leaks again in eighteen months costs a homeowner more than the first repair ever saved. That's why our Commercial Roofing crews follow manufacturer specs on every nail pattern and every underlayment overlap, not just the visible parts.
Bonded, insured, and ready to show proof on the spot.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
No surprise charges once the crew is already on your roof.
Technicians dispatched from within Elba, NY, not flown in from another region.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
We break our work into distinct service lanes because a wind-lifted ridge cap and a full tear-off need completely different crews, materials, and timelines.
Active leaks after a storm get a same-day response whenever it's physically possible — a temporary tarp-down first, a permanent fix scheduled right behind it.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
Commercial roofs carry different loads and different membrane systems than residential shingles, and our crews are trained on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen accordingly.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Elba, NY.
The inspection covers decking condition, flashing points, and ventilation, not just the obvious problem area.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Because our teams are already local, we're rarely the company still driving in from three counties away.
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
Every repair and install comes with a workmanship warranty separate from the manufacturer's material warranty.
Our estimates are itemized in a format most carriers recognize, which speeds up claim approval.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
We put our workmanship guarantee in writing on every job, so if something about the completed work doesn't match what was agreed, we send a crew back at no extra charge.
We also guarantee the estimate itself: barring a scope change you approve in writing, the number on your written quote is the number on your final invoice.
Our Elba coverage area extends across Elba, NY, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
Because our crews already know the layout of Elba and the surrounding parts of Elba, NY, we rarely waste a homeowner's morning on a wrong-turn delay.
